We personalize your pup's meal plans based on our veterinary nutritionist-developed algorithm. Our serving suggestions are based on AAFCO’s recommended feeding guidelines for a complete and balanced diet, based on two meals per day.
On your pup's account, you'll see an ideal calorie range for them to consume per day. The feeding guidelines are located right on your FreshCooked containers or FreshBaked boxes. You will also receive the feeding guidelines in your first order with us. Please note that we base our plans on 2 meals per day.
Generally speaking, here’s how much food will be in each FreshCooked container:
- Tiny dogs under 9 pounds: 3-4 full meals/container
- Small and medium dogs: two full meals/container
- Large dogs: one full meal/container
Our FreshCombo and FreshBaked plans are a little bit specific - we recommend checking out these feeding guidelines on the back of the FreshBaked box, in your My Account page, or sending us an email at petcare@petplate.com
Puppy alert! 🐶 Because puppies are growing, they need more food than adults. With puppy plans, we typically provide more food to supplement for healthy growth. Just keep us posted as they get older so we can adjust their plan!
